These amplifiers had smoked Plexiglas front panels. The functions were engraved into the Plexiglas and then white paint was painted down into the engraved grooves. The upper angled piece had black sticky back felt applied to it. This let the Plexiglas rest against a soft felt surface when the lid was closed.
I found an old beat up front panel just to show how they were mounted. Note that this panel has a bunch of extra holes drilled into it. This panel was damaged and then I drilled a bunch of extra holes and used it to assemble pot harnesses.

The original holes and functions were, starting from the left end.
Upper left - Bright switch
Below the bright switch was a row that had the Input jack, Volume, Master, Treble, Mid, Bass and Presence controls.
On the right end, starting on the upper left was an LED pilot lamp, standby and power switch.
Below the switches were two fuse holders for the 1/2 amp HT fuse and 3 amp mains fuse.
