River Ganga-Sarayu sangama - from Valmiki Ramayana:
Valmiki Ramayana (Bala Kanda 23): Anga province: Sri Rama visited the Anga province at the confluence of rivers Ganga and Sarayu while travelling with sage Vishwamitra. There were many hermitages there and sages performing tapas for thousands of years. Vishwamitra told the story of Shiva burning Kamadeva there and making him Ananga (bodiless). So the place was known as Anga province. The hermitages belong to Shiva and the hermits were the disciples of Shiva. Sri Rama spent a night in a hermitage in Anga provinceValmiki Ramayana (Bala Kanda 24): Sarayu from Manasa: Sri Rama heard the story (from sage Vishwamitra) of the origin of River Sarayu from lake Manasa while crossing the river at Anga province (and reaching the forest of Tataka).

Valmiki Ramayana (Bala Kanda 31): Sri Rama camping on the bank of river Sona while going to Mithila with sage Vishwamitra: Sri Rama camped at the bank of river Sona while travelling with Vishwamitra (and other sages) towards Mithila (from Siddhashrama). After taking bath in the river, they kindled the ritual fire in the evening and offered oblations to the gods.Valmiki Ramayana (Bala Kanda 32): Sri Rama hearing the story of Girivraja from sage Vishwamitra on the bank of river Sona: Sri Rama heard the story of Girivraja (land of king Vasu) on the bank of river Sona (Magadhi) which is encircled by five principal mountains.

Valmiki Ramayana (Bala Kanda 35): Sri Rama camping: Sri Rama camped at the bank of river Ganga (after camping at river Sona) while travelling with Vishwamitra (and other sages) towards Mithila (from Siddhashrama). After bathing they kindled ritual fire and offered oblations to the manes and devas as per the custom.Valmiki Ramayana (Bala Kanda 35 - 43): Story of the descent of Ganga: Sri Rama heard the story of the descent of river Ganga from sage Vishwamitra in details. It ended with the great penance of king Bhagiratha to bring Ganga to earth and redeem his sixty thousand ancestors from curse of sage Kapila. Sri Rama was spellbound to hear the entire story and the night passed as if in a moment.

Sri Rama meeting Guha at Sringaveraura: There, Sri Rama met Guha, the king of Nishadas, who was also His dear friend. Guha dearly welcomed Sri Rama and extended his hospitality.
Valmiki Ramayana (Ayodhya Kanda 50 - 51): Sri Rama spending a night at Sringaverapura: Sri Rama spent a night there lying on the ground on the bank of river Ganga guarded by Lakshmana and Guha.
Valmiki Ramayana (Ayodhya Kanda 52): Sri Rama crossing river Ganga at Sringaverapura to proceed towards Prayaga: Sri Rama sent back Sumantra who was accompanying him and crossed the river Ganga in a boat here given by Guha (and then proceeding towards Prayaga).
Devi Sita offering prayers to Ganga: While crossing the river, Devi Sita offered prayers to river Ganga.

River Ganga-Yamuna sangama (Prayaga) - from Valmiki Ramayana:
Valmiki Ramayana (Ayodhya Kanda 54): Towards Prayaga from Sringaverapura: During forest exile, Sri Rama crossed river Ganga at Sringaverapura and reached the land of Vatsa. Spending the night under a big tree, Sri Rama walked towards Prayaga at the confluence of rivers Ganga and Yamuna.Valmiki Ramayana (Ayodhya Kanda 54): Hermitage of sage Bharadwaja: Sri Rama visited the hermitage of sage Bharadwaja at Prayaga and asked for a suitable place to stay in the forest. Sage Bharadwaja suggested the Chitrakoota forest mountain, ten krosas from there and told the route to reach there.
Sri Rama staying: Sri Rama spent a night in that hermitage.
Valmiki Ramayana (Ayodhya Kanda 55): Bharadwaja about Chitrakoota route: Sage Bharadwaja told Sri Rama the route to Chitrakoota from Prayaga - following river Yamuna towards west, then crossing river Yamuna and reaching a Nyagrodha tree called Shyama. After going a krosha from there, Chitraoota forest starts.
Bharadwaja Ashrama - Allahabad:
Bharadwaja Ashrama is located in Allahabad in the Allahabad district of Uttar Pradesh. It is in the Colonelganj area near Anand Bhavan on Jawahar Lal Nehru Road, around 3.5 km from the Allahabad railway station. The ashrama has many images including Sri Rama, Lakshmana and Bharadwajeshwar Mahadev Shiva Linga.
