Vishnu Prayag

•
Meditation: I meditate on
Vishnu Prayag which is the sacred confluence of rivers Alakananda and Dhauli Ganga.
•
Vishnu Prayag: Vishnu Prayag is one of the
Pancha Prayag of Uttarakhand Himalayas. It is located at the confluence of rivers
Alakananda and
Dhauli Ganga. The river Alakananda arises from the Bhagirathi Kharak and Satopanth glaciers on the eastern slopes of Chaukhamba Massif. It flows past the famous Badrinath temple. The river Dhauli Ganga arises from a glacier of Nita Pass in Garhwal-Tibet border. Vishnu Prayag is around 14 km from Joshimath and 260 km from Rishikesh.
•
Narada worshipping Lord Vishnu: It is said that sage Narada meditated here on Lord Vishnu, and appeared before him. There is a small temple of Lord Vishnu near the sangam.
• Vishnu Prayag is located in the
Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.
