• Meditation: I meditate on Sri Krishna, appearing from Devaki in the prison, during the dark hours of the night, in the form of Lord Vishnu with Sankha, Chakra, Gada and Padma.

• Mathura: Mathura is an ancient pilgrimage of Sri Krishna which is His birthplace. Mathura is a Moksha Puri as well as a Divya Desam.

• Moksha Puri: Mathura is one of the seven Moksha Puris (Mathura, Ayodhya, Mayapuri, Kashi, Kanchi, Avantika and Dwarka).

• Thiru Vadamathura Divya Desam: Mathura is one of the 108 Divya Desams identified with the Thiru Vadamathura Divya Desam.

• Birth of Sri Krishna: The birth of Sri Krishna is described in Srimad Bhagavatam 10.3 as follows:
Sri Krishna appeared from Devaki at night (in the prison of Kamsa) when it was very dark. The Lord appeared in the divine form of Vishnu. He had beautiful lotus-like eyes and four hands holding the Sankha, Chakra, Gada and Padma. On His chest was the mark of Srivatsa and He was wearing the brilliant Kaustubha gem around His neck. His body was dark like cloud and He was adorned with various ornaments. Sri Krishna after instructing Devaki and Vasudeva to constantly think of Him, assumes the form of a child.

• Krishna Janmasthan temple: Krishna Janmasthan temple is the location of the prison of Kamsha where Sri Krishna incarnated from Devaki. It is also called Krishna Janambhoomi temple.

• Potara Kund: Near the Krishna Janmasthan Temple is the Potara Kund which is said to be the place where the clothes of baby Krishna was washed after His birth in prison.

• Yamuna Arati: Mathura is a place on the bank of the holy river Yamuna. River Yamuna is intimately associated with the life of Sri Krishna. The famous Yamuna Arati is held in Mathura every evening in the Vishram Ghat.

• Devi Mahavidya temple: A temple of Devi Mahavidya (also known as Devi Ambika) is located on the outskirts of the Mathura town and is situated on a hillock. On the bottom of this hillock is a Saraswati stream and Saraswati kund
