18 watt Stout R1 project

This is the turret board layout I am going to use. The 18 watt Lite circuit has no tremolo and I plan on using the 2nd half of the first pre amp tube for a gain boost, hence the relay. I am calling this beefier 18 watt version the 18 watt Stout R1.
Note: In later Stout and Stout/Reverb test boards, I inserted the relay in between the lugs on the board to keep wire lengths at an absolute minimum. This was a big improvement over the experimental board in the picture above.

Update: I do not recommend using a relay for switching unless you absolutely must have it and you are very skilled at scratch building amps. There are too many noise problems that can occur using a relay with higher gain circuits. I have removed all the relays from my Stout builds and prefer to have them direct drive/no Switch. I leave the gain stage on full time and still can get a decent clean tone so there was no need to switch off the extra gain stage. See the Stout with no switch info on my library page.
