Almost finished | Here's a shot of the finished green house |
The green house is 6' wide x 8' long x about 6' high. It has an all aluminum frame. All the panels are Lexan, which is a very tough material. and UV resistant. I plan on starting plants in the spring inside the green house and growing salad greens in the winter.

I have since added some electronic controls to my green house. I wrote some software that monitors the green house. The computer monitors and controls all the green house functions. I can monitor the temperature, humidity and light levels inside the green house. If it gets too hot, several small 12 volt fans turn on and exhaust the hot air to keep the temperature from getting too hot. I also added a 12 volt solar panel and battery storage outside the green house. The fans and all the controls run on solar. The screen shot above shows all the functions I monitor, including the solar batteries and solar panel.
