This is the first project that I cut on the new router, it's a new Z Axis assembly. I wasn't happy with the way the first one turned out. This one
is dead on the money as far as hole placements and dimensions. It's not glued together here in the picture. I am waiting for some new bushings to arrive before I assemble. It still
need a final machine profile to the top and bottom upright pieces after it is glued together. This came out so nice that I am going to make a new Y axis assembly also. It's great practice for when I go to aluminum. |

Here's the first crash. I took my eyes off the machine for just a second. The tool was moving from one MOP to a new MOP a few inches away. A table clamp was right in it's path. Metal shrapnel was flying everywhere. Ok, the first lesson sucked, that was a nice carbide tool. | |
