Slideshow Tutorial
Step 1: Music (optional)
If you want to use music in your iPhoto slideshow, you'll need to get it onto your computer's hard drive and make sure it's part of the iTunes music library.
If you're music is on a CD, put the CD in the computer, and it should appear in iTunes, on the left sidebar. If it's not a music CD, then it might not appear in iTunes and it might be on the desktop. If it appears in iTunes, click once on it to view its contents. If it's on the desktop, double click the CD icon to view its contents. Regardless of whether you are in iTunes or on the desktop, find the song file you want for your slideshow, and drag it onto the word "Library" in the iTunes sidebar on the left.
If your audio is not already in digital form (for example, if you need to digitize some sound(s) from a tape recorder, etc), you will need to use a program called Audacity, which is available on all the Cave computers. Basically, this program will allow you to record a sound clip, and then save that sound clip as a .WMV file, which you can then drag (import) into the iTunes music library as detailed above. If you need assistance with this process, please contact the Art Dept. IT Coordinator for help.
