Prayag: Prayag is an ancient pilgrimage at the confluence of rivers
Ganga,
Yamuna and hidden
Saraswati. It is one of the holiest pilgrimages and termed as Tirtha-Raja or the King of Tirthas. Prayaga is a place of
Kumbha Mela and also a
Shakti Peetha.

Place of Kumbha Mela: Prayag is one of the four places where Kumbha Mela is held (Prayaga, Haridwar, Ujjain and Nashik).

Devi Alopi temple of
Allahabad is a
Shakti Peetha identified with the
Prayaga Shakti Peetha mentioned in the
Peetha Nirnaya Tantra.

Shakti Peetha also identified with the
Prayaga Shakti Peetha mentioned in the
Peetha Nirnaya Tantra.
