  1. Gangotri (3140 m): The source of river Ganga with a temple of Devi Ganga which is an Uttarakhand Char Dham (Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand)
  2. Dev Prayag (690 m): One of the Pancha Prayag of Uttarakhand located at the confluence of rivers Alakananda and Bhagirathi which is also a Divya Desam [Thirukkandam Divya Desam] (Tehri Garhwal district, Uttarakhand)
  3. Haridwar: Ancient Mayapuri which is a Moksha Puri and a place of Kumbha Mela (Haridwar district, Uttarakhand)
  4. Kashi: An ancient pilgrimage of Lord Shiva on the bank of river Ganga which is a Moksha Puri, Jyotirlinga [Vishwanath Jyotirlinga] (Vishwanath) as well as Shakti Peetha [Varanasi Shakti Peetha] (Devi Vishalakshi); also has famous temples of Devi Annapoorna and Sri Kalabhairava (Varanasi district, Uttar Pradesh).
