Guru Poornima:
Guru Poornima is the day in which one's
Guru or spiritual preceptor is adored with devotion. The Guru stotram says that the Guru is Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara. The Guru is the link taking the Jivatman towards the Paramatman. Guru Poornima is also known as Vyasa Poornima, the day in which the great sage Vyasa is worshipped. Sage Vyasa classified the Vedas and made them more accessible to humankind. Guru Poornima falls on
Aasaddha Poornima.
