After the death of the artist on 16 July 1916, inherited by his widow, Camille Redon-Falte, Paris; Kunsthandel J.H. de Bois, Haarlem, 1919; purchased by or given to Maurits Gomperts, Aerdenhout, later that year; after his death in 1925, bequeathed to his heirs; sold by the heirs of Maurits Gomperts to the Rijksmuseum Vincent van Gogh, 28 December 1992, and at the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, since 1 July 1994.
