After the death of the artist on 10 October 1956 inherited by his son, Floris Bremmer; after his death in 1981 inherited by his widow, Annie Bremmer-Hollmann, The Hague; after her death in 1989 bequeathed to her heirs; consigned by the heirs of Annie Bremmer-Hollmann to auction Amsterdam, Christie’s (Modern and Contemporary Art), lot 263 (A still life of an oillamp, a gingerjar and books on a draped ledge), purchased by the Rijksmuseum Vincent van Gogh for NLG 80.500, 12 December 1990, since 1 July 1994 Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam.
