Description
Spotprent op de Spaanse onderdrukking van de Cubaanse opstand in 1896. De Spaanse gouverneur Martinez Campos wordt vervangen door generaal Valeriano Weyler y Nicolau. Deze machtswisseling is verbeeld als een stierengevecht waarbij de oude torero (Campos) wordt vervangen door een nieuwe (Weyler), in het midden de woeste stier Cuba. Verschenen in het bijvoegsel van 'De Kroniek' van 9 februari 1896.
