He sadly hasn’t been around to hear it for some time…

I dubbed my tapes from the Teaching Company (The Self Under Siege) onto my IPod.

I hope the irony of these two efforts to constrain Professor Roderick to immortality would cause him to guffaw.

Would that we could share in his conversation with Kierkegaard, Nietzsche and Foucault.

This particular lecture on Kierkegaard and the contemporary spirit has a very important significance for our culture which is transforming itself right now into an instrument of manipulation to make people accept and submit to an insane world order where who ever challenge its direction is classified as anti social and sick in the mind, hence the massive production and consumption of legal drugs who benefit drug cartels. This corresponds well with the statement he made that “There are far worst thing than being mad, and one of them is to be in a culture that is mad, and to consider yourself sane, that’s worst. Now we are in the worst collectively, to refuse to co-operate in the madness around us is considered a sickness and inadequacy, and is penalised brutally. Professor Rick Roderick gave a service to humanity by making the subject more understandable to us all, therefore make us able to articulate more accurately what we feel on an individual level of a kind of sickness unto death and asked to take some drugs to supposedly alleviate the feeling of madness that we are force to accept one way or the other. Thank you a thousand time for making this important website which would have, I am sure, make Professor Rick Roderick satisfied that there is always a kind of sanity in existence regardless of the despair of having to deal permanently at this historical time with an insane culture.

He most likely saw it coming.
