Turye Dharma-Kalaa-Sarge Nara-Naaraayannaav[au]-Rssii |
Bhuutvaa-[Aa]tmo[a-U]pashamo[a-U]petam-Akarod-Dushcaram Tapah ||1.3.9||

Meaning:
1: In the Fourth in the line (of Incarnations), the Lord incarnated as parts (i.e. sons) of king Dharma, as Nara and Narayana Rishis,
2: And Becoming centered in the Aatman by quietening the Mind, they attained the state of Self Realization, by performing very difficult Austerities.
