रूपं जगृहे मात्स्यं चाक्षुषोदधिसम्प्लवे
नाव्यारोप्य महीमय्यामपाद्वैवस्वतं मनुम् ॥१

Ruupam Sa Jagrhe Maatsyam Caakssusso[a-U]dadhi-Samplave |
Naavyaa[i-Aa]ropya Mahiimayyaam-Apaad-Vaivasvatam Manum ||1.3.15||

Meaning:
1: He (i.e. the Lord) assumed the form of a Matsya (Fish) after the Cakshusha Manvantara when Water flooded (the whole World during deluge),
2: He (i.e. the Lord) made Vaivasvata Manu ascend a Boat when everything was one with Water and thus Protected him.
