Connecting with Nature

We can connect with Nature at various levels. This is in fact connecting with Rita or the Cosmic Order. Refer to Rita on the Core Concepts.

1. Connecting with Nature with a neutral attitude: We know that Nature is there, but we do not have much interest in it. Nature has its own life and we have our own lives.

2. Connecting with Nature with a sense of gratitude: Because Nature sustains us with food, water, air and brings diversity in our lives.

3. Connecting with Nature feeling its beauty: Because Nature touches our aesthetic sense and awakens the poetic dimension within us.

4. Connecting with Nature feeling its vastness and peace Because Nature through its vastness makes us feel the presence of a vast life inside us. We discover an enduring peace in that vast life.

5. Connecting with Nature feeling the divine presence: This is the attitude of the Vedic seers. Behind the well-ordered system of Nature they felt the presence of divine forces.

6. Connecting with Nature realising the Supreme Consciousness: This is the realisation of the sages. Behind the well-ordered system of Nature they felt the presence of the Supreme Consciousness underlying everything. The purity of Nature reflects the purity of the Supreme Consciousness.
