• Meditation: I meditate on the penance of Vindhya Mountain worshipping Lord Shiva at Omkareshwar to become higher; and appearance of Lord Shiva (Omkareshwar) granting him the boon.

• Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga: Omkareshwar temple of Omkareshwar is a Jyotirlinga identified with the Omkareshwara Jyotirlinga mentioned in Shiva Purana - Koti Rudra Samhita 18.

• Worship of Lord Shiva by Vindhya mountain: Omkareshwar is the place where Vindhya mountain worshipped Lord Shiva to get a boon of becoming higher (so that he could surpass all other mountains). Lord Shiva appeared before Vindhya mountain and granted the boon. Then on the request of the devas and sages Lord Shiva abided there as the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga. (Shiva Purana - Koti Rudra Samhita 18)
