Misc. Info: Kuchipudi is an Indian classical dance and hails from the southern state of Andra Pradesh. It is known for its vibrant movement, dramatic expression and lilting music. Dance is composed of the physical element, the presentation or dramatic element as well as the spiritual or rasa element. These components of dance make it a wonderful platform to not only have physical activity, improve ones presentation and communication skills but also learn about Indian stories, tradition and culture. I am a senior student of Guru. Vyjayanthi Kashi and have been learning the nuances of Kuchipudi under her tutelage since 1996. I have toured extensively with my guru across India and have performed at prestigious venues and national television.
