I am the first American to perform at an All-India Music Conference (1977). My other skills include the devotional music of the temples of Mathura and Vrindaban, and Bengali Kirtan. My two CD’s are called SACRED RAGA (New Orleans, 1999), and SANJHER PRADIP (Calcutta, 2004). At present I give concerts and lecture/ demonstrations at colleges and universities. I have also published a book, “Sonic Theology: Hinduism and Sacred Sound”, which explains the Hindu philosophy of sound and music. My current project is a large CD archive of Vaishnava temple songs recorded in north India.
