Misc. Info: Roshan Jamal Bhartiya is one of India’s premier sitarists. He was raised in a famous musical family; his guru and father was Ustad Jamaluddin Bhartiya. In 1968, Roshanji was awarded a Master of Sitar degree from the Sarladavi Music Institute, Delhi, was an “A” grade musician on All India Radio, an All India Radio competition award winner (sitar), and a Special Grade musician for various Bollywood productions. He has been a member of the music department faculty at Naropa University in Boulder and at the College of Santa Fe.
