Considered to be in the Todi That due to the tivra Ma and komal ga, Raga Madhuvanti is one of the ragas which bend many rules of being classified into Bhatkhande’s ten that system. This raga emotes a feeling of sadness and distress due to the tivra Ma and komal ga, followed by the pure notes. This raga tends to fill in the missing notes that Raga Sivaranjani does not fill.
