This is a common raga which describes the ecstatic nature of the mid-afternoon’s time, right before the twilight ragas (sandhya-prakasa ragas) take place. The aroha is similar to that of Raga Dhani with its pentatonic nature excluding Re and Dha. This raga is used in many genres of Indian music from classical to popular music.
