This is a very common raga found in North Indian music. This raga puts a great amount of emphasis on ma. Unlike most ma-emphasized ragas, this does include an instance of Pa in the avaroha. The Pa lacks the emphasis in such a way that many artists and musicians tend to just avoid the Pa, altogether.
