This is a beloved raga from the Bhairava that, which has a variety of emotions attached to it. Some will find devotion, while others find melancholy. Some find love and happiness through this raga. This raga was originally thought to be from the Carnatic raga “Cakravaham.” The raga from the technical standpoint is known as Ahir Bhairava in the Hindustani musical scene, because it has the Bhairavanga (G m r S) along with the Ahiranga (D n S’).
