Citra Vina (Gottuvadyam)

The citra vina, also known as the gottuvadyam, is a rare South Indian instrument. Its construction is almost identical to the Sarasvati vina. The only differences are the inclusion of sympathetic strings and the playing action is done by using a glass item to ‘fret’ the string and pluck with the other.
