Radhastami
According
to the Gaudiya Vaisnavas,
the celebrated event that is higher than Janmastami
is Radhastami. Radhastami
is the earthly appearance date of Srimati Radharani, the Lord’s eternal consort. Many acaryas consider Her the Supreme
Goddess, for She has potency to even control Krsna, the Supreme Lord! Devotees
seek shelter of Her lotus feet in order to obtain Her
favor in having a chance to perform pure devotional service and become a
devotee of Sri Krsna. Radhastami falls on the eighth
day of the second half of Bhadra (Hrsikesa).
