This is the corewar archive at ftp.csua.berkeley.edu.  Questions and
comments should go to Michael Constant (mconst@csua.berkeley.edu).

The archive is divided into the following directories:

	documents -- tutorials, standards, and other documentation
	newsgroup -- partial archives of the rec.games.corewar newsgroup
	redcode -- some corewar programs people have uploaded
	systems -- systems to run corewar programs on various computers
	tools -- miscellaneous helpful utilities and data
	related-games -- archive for other programming games
	incoming -- where you upload new stuff; see below

You should be aware that the redcode directory is really a long-term
archive; if you're looking for modern warriors to test your own
programs against, a much better place to look is Planar's web page, 
at http://pauillac.inria.fr/~doligez/corewar.

If you'd like to upload something, put it in the incoming directory;
then send me email (mconst@csua.berkeley.edu) explaining what you've
uploaded and which directory I should put it in.  If you're uploading a
newer version of something that's already here, please let me know so
that I can erase the old one.
