If you wire two 8 ohm speakers in series you end up with 16 ohms total load. If you wire four 8 ohm speakers in Series/Parallel you end up with an 8 ohm load. It works this way.

Example: 472 is a 4 and a 7 with 2 zeros after and that = 4700 | ||||
Now go six places to the left, adding zeros if necessary = .004700 | ||||
Drop the two zero's on the right end = .0047 | ||||
