Click on the image to see a larger image ![]() I use two Behringer FCB1010 controllers to control guitar Rig They are set up in series The top one in the picture above is a stock FCB1010 The bottom FCB1010 has the UNO chip installed The UNO chip mod adds lots of cool new features to the FCB1010, like Stomp Box mode and several other very handy things. The Stomp box mode turns 5 of the pedals into stomp box pedals you can choose to use the upper row or lower row as your stomp box pedals Once you have the UNO chip installed, you can then turn effects on and off in Guitar rig So for example, you can turn on a distortion pedal, a delay pedal or any effect in Guitar Rig The UNO Prom chip is available from several sources on the Yahoo FCB1010 UNO forum. The chip was around $10 with shipping at the time I bought mine. You can read about the UNO prom mod at the FCB1010 UNO forum. Go to the files section on the forum to find UNO prom sources and to get all kinds of great info about the FCB1010 and the UNO prom mod. I only have a small amount of info here on programming the FCB1010. There is a ton of info on the FCB1010 UNO forum that you can read about for more info. My FCB1010's needed to have the Expression pedals calibrated before they would work properly. See the Behringer manual on how to calibrate your Expression pedals. There are a couple cool Midi editors available that can program the FCB1010 way more easily than using the FCB1010 pedals as described in the Behringer manual. I would not even mess with manual programming, it is very complicated at first to figure out and there really is no need for most of the manual editing if you use ED Dixon's Midi editor. There may be few global functions that can only be done manually via the FCB pedals, but the editor by Ed Dixon can do most of what you need. Plus it's way faster and easier to edit the FCB1010 from your computer. This page shows how to use the Ed Dixon FCB1010 editor FCB1010 Midi setup 2 You need to have a Midi interface hooked up to your computer and your FCB1010 to be able to use the Midi editors. I have a M-Audio Midisport USB Midi controller that was very cheap and it works great. Go to the FCB1010 UNO forum/files section to download the free Midi editors. Note that Ed Dixon's editor is a Windows only program but there are Java based editors available also. Some people are having a hard time finding version 2.99 of Ed Dixon's editor, and so I have provided a .zip file link below FCB1010 Links This video shows how to set up controllers, assign buttons and sliders to your controllers My FCB1010 Guitar Rig 5 setup video on YouTube is here Or you can play it here on this page Download - This is a FCB1010 (Uno chip) .syx file you can use with Guitar Rig |
