The first Hoffman 50 watt heads I made. |

These are the original 50 watt heads that I started making in 1993. They have an all
black powder coated aluminum chassis with smoked plexi-glass front panels. The tubes could be seen glowing through the
plexi-glass when the amps were on. The circuit was very close to the old plexi circuit with a few differences here and
there. There were probably less than 30 of these made. Later on I made some with purple, green and blue powder coat and
one with a wild looking gray hammer tone finish. These are the amps that were reviewed by Guitar player and Gerald Weber. That is a plexi-glass sign that I used at trade shows sitting on top of the middle amp. |

The very first 50 watt Plexi proto type head that I made. I still own this amp and play it all the time. It's pretty crude looking because it was a proto type and was altered a million times to dial it in before I settled on a final design. Note the open back. Watch those fingers! You can hear this amp in action on this page. | |

This is what the circuit boards for the production 50 watt amps looked like. Everything was on this board, tubes, filter caps, etc. |
