The file in this folder is for the 93XX series scopes that have
a CPU3 board with EPROM based firmware. 

The older boards can be easily identified by the presence of a EPROM on the back side of the CPU3 PCB assembly. Flash boards do not have this EPROM.

This firmware will not work in CPU2 scopes (9304,14,etc.)that have multiple EPROMS on the front side of the CPU board.

Using a EPROM programmer program the binary file into an erased 27C080 EPROM.

Hint:

It is a good idea to buy a new blank EPROM and program the file into it.

If you plan to re-use your current EPROM (risky) read the EPROM and save the
file somewhere so you can re-program the chip with the old firmware in case you have problems.
