a site-specific installation in an abandoned farmhouse approx. 1,200 sq. ft. As I researched the house I learned that the family that had originally built the house had come to the Pacific Northwest to start a farm. view of the first room inside the house; with two women looking into a long wooden view finder 63" x 5" x 10", the floor is covered in thistle flowers picked from the surrrounding area. I imaged what it would have been like for the mother of the family. How she may have felt stuck or trapped in a situation that she could not easily escape.
